I’ll be reading an essay as part of this sure-to-be-fantastic events. 

Join Under the Gum Tree, Fourth Genre, Hippocampus, and River Teeth for an AWP happy hour of telling true stories. Four magazines, all publishing exclusively nonfiction, are partnering on this event to bring you a line up of previous contributors—many of whom will be descending on San Antonio for Association of Writers & Writing Programs annual conference (AWP).

Stay for dinner or grab your happy hour drink of choice from the cash bar and toast some true stories and in a short & sweet storytelling lineup of readers from past Under the Gum Tree, Fourth Genre, Hippocampus, and River Teeth issues before heading out to make material for new true stories of your own.

We will have the place to ourselves, so there will be plenty of seating and we won't be competing with bar noise to hear the readers.
