Timothy J. Hillegonds named as one of THE GUILD COMPLEX’S “30 WRITERS TO WATCH 2019”
I was recently (and unexpectedly) named one of The Guild Complex’s “30 Writers to Watch 2019”, and I’m honored to be among such a stellar list of writers and artists.
For the last 30 years, the Guild Literary Complex has been a Chicago–based literary organization presenting and supporting diverse, divergent, and emerging voices through programming that is as dynamic as Chicago itself. Actively working with individuals and organizations from all of Chicago’s many neighborhoods, the Guild seeks to connect seemingly disparate groups and geographies through literature—bringing unexpected writers, programs, and audiences together.
Regarding the selection, the Guild Literary Complex announced: “We are pleased to introduce 30 new writers identified by our extended community and selected by The Guild as 30 individuals whose careers represent the future of the literary arts in Chicago and beyond, and whose work reflects the spirit and values of the Guild Complex today.
If you’re up for supporting a good cause and having a little bit of fun, join me at the Gala on Wednesday, June 26th, at the Chopin Theater from 6:30 – 9:30PM.
